Here’s a quick backstory of that little girl in the photo above..me!
I grew up in an Italian household.
My parents, my heroes, worked really hard even though English was their second language.
They knew how to make and fix anything they put their minds to.
My sister and I were their #1 priority and they would stop at nothing to make sure we felt safe and loved!
Some of my fondest memories was when I would sit alongside Ma while she baked.
She was (and STILL is) the best baker!
My first (and favourite) part-time job was at
Dairy Queen in Vaughan.
I LOVED working when my shift was in the cake department.After years of studying photography & journalism, I eventually became a licenced hairstylist and worked in 2 hair salons for a total of 15 years. Once returning to the salon after maternity leave, everything in my life was changing for the good and the bad.I decided I needed to be closer to my family so I pursued my love of baking and made it a
full time gig.
I am so grateful for my true inspirations..my beautiful, intelligent, confident & artistic twin girls. They motivate me everyday to provide the best product & service Gigi Bakes has to offer!
